Player Evaluations

All players in the Spring Minors AAA and Majors Divisions are required to attend Evaluation Day.  Evaluation day gives each player an opportunity to hit, field, throw, run and pitch in front of CLL Managers.  This evaluation helps CLL in assessing player’s skills in order to assemble teams with comparable talent.  Every player who is evaluated will be placed on a team.

WHAT TO BRING
- Glove, Bat, Tennis Shoes, Cup, Hat, Helmet (if you have one), and dress in baseball or athletic pants.  


WHAT NOT TO BRING
- No batting gloves (it takes too long for all the players to take them on and off)
- No cleats (we will be on a turf floor)


EVALUATION OVERVIEW

Registration
- All Players must check in at the registration table prior to evaluation
- Table will be located towards the entrance to the baseball training area.
- Players will be given an evaluation number and led into the training area.
- Parent will not be allowed to accompany their players, but must watch from the Axe Throwing area. 

Evaluation Stations
Batting - Each Player will get 5-6 pitches to hit.
- Fielding/Throwing - Each Player will warm up about 5 throws and get 3 ground balls.
- Pitching - each player will get 5 throws.

**MINORS AAA:  Players will go through Fielding/Throwing/Pitching First, then Bat
**MAJORS: Players will bat first, then go through Fielding/Throwing/Pitching last.

 


Additional Information
Please make sure only registered players are in the evaluation area during that time.

Parents are welcome to wait in the Registration Area (Axe Throwing Area)

We suggest players warm up before coming to the facility by running, throwing, and catching.
